PHILADELPHIA — Gold Glove shortstop Masyn Winn was not in the Cardinals’ starting lineup for Friday’s game against the Phillies due to a left thumb injury.

It was the second straight day in which the 24-year-old was not starting. He did enter as a pinch-runner in St. Louis’ six-run ninth inning in Thursday’s wild 10-9 victory over the Reds.
