Carson Benge throws out two Padres runners in the same inning

NEW YORK — Did the Padres read the scouting reports on Mets right fielder Carson Benge?

Apparently not, because San Diego ran on him twice in the first inning of Monday’s game against the Mets, and Benge threw out both of them on back-to-back plays, becoming the first player in franchise history to throw out two runners at home in the same inning.
