Nolan Arenado reaches 2,000 career hits

PHOENIX — Diamondbacks third baseman Nolan Arenado became the sixth active Major Leaguer to collect 2,000 career hits when he doubled to left field off the A’s Jeffrey Springs in the fifth inning Monday night at Chase Field.

The other active players with at least 2,000 hits are Manny Machado, Paul Goldschmidt, Jose Altuve, Andrew McCutchen and Freddie Freeman.
