The Hill Announces Closing After 8 Years in Closter
A Bergen County restaurant has officially closed its doors after eight years in business.
The Hill, a New American restaurant and bar located in Closter, announced its closure in a message shared with customers on social media (View Post).
“After eight extraordinary years at The Hill, we’ve made the difficult decision to close our doors,” the restaurant wrote.
The announcement marks the end of a run that began in 2018 when Chef Ben Pollinger opened The Hill at 252 Schraalenburgh Road. Before launching the restaurant, Pollinger served as executive chef at Oceana in New York City, where the restaurant earned a Michelin star during his tenure.
In its farewell message, The Hill reflected on the relationships and memories created over the years.
“What began as a restaurant became something far more meaningful: a place where friendships formed, milestones were celebrated, and countless evenings were shared around the table,” the post read.
The restaurant also thanked its customers, regulars and staff members.
“To every guest who joined us, every regular who made this place feel alive, and every member of our team who gave so much of themselves here: THANK YOU,” the announcement stated.
