DP’s Pub and Seafood Grill Has Returned in Garfield
DP’s Pub in Garfield has officially reopened, marking the long-awaited return of the beloved neighborhood spot after a devastating fire.
The business previously shared, “In the early morning hours of April 12, 2024, the iconic DP’s Pub was destroyed by a fire,” adding, “We do hope to rebuild and will keep our customers informed of our progress.”
For more than five decades, DP’s has been a local fixture known for its “warm, friendly atmosphere”—a place to gather for lunch, dinner, or an easy night out with friends.
The pub says it remains committed to serving “the freshest and highest quality food,” sourcing locally whenever possible, including seafood from Peter’s Fish Market along with poultry from a local farm and fresh steaks and burgers.
The menu has been updated, but retains the classics the eatery has long been known for.
Ownership has evolved over the years, including a transition to longtime employees in the mid-2000s and later the 2019 purchase by former patrons who pledged to continue the tradition of quality food at reasonable prices.
As part of the reopening, the team plans to bring back a piece of history—the original DP’s Pub sign, damaged in the fire, has been restored by an employee and will once again be displayed.
DP’s Pub is currently open seven days a week.
