Dunkin’ is marking the launch of its newest store in New Jersey with free treats.
Located at 200 Old Tappan Road in Old Tappan, the chain is scheduled to hold its grand opening Sept. 15 from 10 a.m. to noon.
As part of the festivities, the first 50 customers in line who bring a canned food donation for the Old Tappan Food Pantry will score a free coffee and doughnut, according to a press release.
The celebration will also include a ribbon-cutting ceremony with local officials and first responders, as well as giveaways from radio station 105.5 FM WDHA.
Bill Mulholland owns and operates the new store. “We are so excited to bring the convenience and great coffee of Dunkin‘ to Old Tappan,” he said. “For years, frequenting Dunkin’ has been a part of our daily routine, and we look forward to bringing that sense of community and tradition to the Old Tappan area for years to come!”
A multi-unit franchisee, Mulholland runs dozens of Dunkin’, Buffalo Wild Wings Go and Jersey Mike’s Subs. His Mulholland Network group’s portfolio includes Buffalo Wild Wings Go locations in Wanaque, Barnegat, Sparta and Saddle Brook, along with a Jersey Mike’s in Cape Coral, Fla.
‘A welcome sight to recharge’
Based in Canton, Mass., Dunkin’ is considered the largest coffee and doughnuts brand in the country. The Inspire Brands-owned quick service restaurant’s footprint of more than 14,000 locations globally includes 865-plus shops in New Jersey.
Old Tappan Mayor Thomas Gallagher expressed enthusiasm over the newest addition to the community. He said he is “very happy that Dunkin’ Donuts has chosen to come to Old Tappan.” Gallagher added, “Whether traveling on business or pleasure, Dunkin’ Donuts is always a welcome sight to recharge. Old Tappan runs on Dunkin!”
The Old Tappan store is open daily from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.
