This website features only FAA approved drone pilots. Please note that insurance is NOT required to be legal to operate a drone commercially. The insurance industry is interested in this new billion Dollar market and is starting to offer two types of insurance. Hull insurance refers to the drone itself. More importantly, liability insurance should be insisted upon before hiring a drone pilot for your real estate or other needs. It is unclear if specific “drone” insurance will be required in the future for pilot/photographers for example that currently have liability insurance under their photography or other business. Currently AV-Network is listing companies as insured if they provide us with a current certificate of insurance.
