One of New Jersey’s top law firms is expanding its practice to Florida.
In a Nov. 10 press release, Morristown-based Porzio, Bromberg & Newman PC announced the launch of a location in Naples. Principal John Elias leads the new site.
According to Porzio, the recently opened office will focus a large portion of its service in the trust and estate planning sector. It will also have additional practice areas including real estate, litigation and corporate law, the firm said.
Principal Philip Siana and additional counsel will support Elias, Porzio said. Plans are in the works to grow talent in multiple practice areas in coming months, the firm added.
Only 10% of its partners are barred in the Sunshine State. However, Porzio expects to continue expanding that figure, the release also noted.
The firm launched in 1962. Since then, Porzio has grown to over 100 attorneys across nine locations in the Northeast and Puerto Rico.
Within New Jersey, it has offices in Clinton, Trenton and Ocean City. The firm will also relocate from its longtime headquarters in Morristown. It expects to join The Arbors @ Parsippany office campus by early 2026.
‘The perfect opportunity’

In a statement, managing partner Vito Gagliardi Jr. said, “This is a significant milestone in our firm’s history, and I couldn’t be more excited to have John leading this office alongside a growing team of attorneys, who will continue to provide the highest standard of legal counsel all of our clients have come to expect from us at Porzio.”
Elias added, “I am honored to lead our exceptionally talented team in Florida, offering our comprehensive legal services to a rapidly growing market area. This is just the beginning. With the help of our strong leadership team and a growing roster of attorneys, we look forward to being able to better serve our existing and new clients all across the Sunshine State.”
Siana described the South Florida market as “vibrant.”
“Our new office is the perfect opportunity to expand our services and better serve our many clients in the state of Florida,” he said. “As we continue to grow, we look forward to continuing to add top-tier talent to our firm and even further expand our service offering into more specialties and practice areas.”
