Ceci Cowart’s four goals helped Montclair to a 6-1 win over Old Bridge in the NJSIAA/Xfinity North Jersey, Group 4 quarterfinal round in Matawan.
Cowart scored three of her four goals in the first half for sixth-seeded Montclair. Her performance brought her to 58 goals on the season.
Alongside Cowart, Caitlin Gorman supplied one goal and one assist and Layla Anderson scored once. Izzy Mastromarino and Fiona Brylka each had an assist.
Laila Vaughn punched in third-seeded Old Bridge’s only goal in the fourth quarter off an assist from Addison Albrecht.
Montclair goalie Annabella Bernardyn had 10 saves in the win.
Montclair (12-9) advances to face seventh-seeded Morristown in the semifinal round Nov. 10 with a start time to be announced.
Old Bridge finishes the season at 17-5.
