A 64-year-old man was shot and killed in Paterson on Thursday night.
Police found the man with a gunshot wound near the corner of Mercer Street and Franklin Street just before 8:10 p.m., the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office said.
The man, who has not been identified, later died of his injuries at an area hospital.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
The homicide is the second of the month in Paterson. A 38-year-old man was stabbed to death near City Hall last week.
