Ahead of the holiday shopping season, Walmart is unveiling another newly remodeled Supercenter in New Jersey.
After a series of upgrades designed to improve customer experience, the Bentonville, Ark.-based retail giant’s location in Vineland now includes:
- A reconfigured store layout with modernized departments, as well as new products and categories
- An updated pharmacy area
- An expansion of online pickup and delivery
- New digital touchpoints and displays aimed at engaging customers
The West Landis Avenue store also boasts new paint, signage and lighting for easier navigation, as well as updates to the parking lot and landscaping
Commenting on the project, Store Manager Mike Johnson said, “At Walmart, enhancing our customers’ shopping experience is always a priority. This transformation not only brings exciting new features and improvements to our store but also reflects our deep commitment to better serving the community. We’re proud to provide a refreshed, more convenient shopping environment that meets the evolving needs of our customers.”
As part of a Sept. 19 ribbon-cutting ceremony, the company presented a $1,000 grant to Sound Mind Sound Body of NJ, a Vineland nonprofit dedicated to advancing opportunities for youth in under-resourced communities.

The store also revealed a new community-inspired mural. Designed and created by Angelina Xi, the artwork is “an eye-catching installation that reflects what makes Vineland great, including attractions, diversity and local culture,” Walmart said.
Attention, shoppers
The Vineland remodel is part of an ongoing effort to enhance the overall shopping experience at more than 650 of Walmart’s 4,600 stores across the U.S.
Earlier this year, Walmart announced plans to update its outposts in Vineland, Berlin and Bridgeton. The chain also said it will convert the East Windsor store into a larger format Supercenter.
According to a Walmart spokesperson, “Remodeling at [the] Berlin and Bridgeton stores is still ongoing with an anticipated completion later this fall. East Windsor’s conversion to a Supercenter is also ongoing with an anticipated completion in late November.”
Walmart has already invested $120 million to renovate stores throughout New Jersey over the past five years.
After debuting three flagship Supercenter designs in Secaucus, North Bergen and Teterboro, the retailer has also remodeled other stores over the last two-and-a-half years. Updated locations include Freehold, Kearny, Bayonne, East Brunswick, Burlington and Linden.

Within New Jersey, Walmart employs nearly 25,000 associates across its 35 Supercenters, 27 discount stores, eight Sam’s Club wholesale locations and five supply chain facilities.
Walmart’s community outreach in New Jersey last year included $10.8 million in cash and in-kind donations to local organizations in fiscal year 2024.
It also invested in the community by spending $15.5 billion with New Jersey-based suppliers to support more than 102,949 supplier jobs across the state.
