HOPEWELL TWP. — The West Windsor-Plainsboro South girls soccer team has a signature win.
Maya Montemayor and Riley Duguay scored in the first half and the Pirates made those goals stand up in a 2-1 victory over Hopewell Valley on Saturday afternoon at Ackerson Field.
It was South’s first win over Hopewell in at least a decade and likely two. It also marked just the third victory for a CVC Valley Division team over a Colonial Division side since the league realigned last fall.
Sophia Latif Estefan made seven saves for the Pirates (2-1).
Reagan Silvestri scored late in the first half to get the Bulldogs (1-3) back in it, but they couldn’t find an equalizer in the second half.
Allentown 2, Lenape 0
MEDFORD — Second-half goals from Katherine Brun and Julia Ciodyk powered the Redbirds (3-1) to a victory over the Indians (0-3-1). Gabby Tate and Kaylee Feldman picked up the assists, while Daniella DeCarlo got the shutout with six saves.
Pennington 2, Roland Park 1
BALTIMORE — Ava Chincarini and Kate Irani scored and the Red Hawks (3-1-1) defeated Roland Park of Baltimore. Riley Conboy and Charlotte Lynch had the assists for Pennington, which faces Maryvale Prep on Sunday.
Trinity Hall 3, Robbinsville 0
Robbinsville — Caroline Ferguson, Anna Noble and Kaylee Davis all scored and Pat Trombetta’s Monarchs (3-1) defeated the still-winless Ravens (0-3). Kaylee Davis, Eva Shaughnessy and Kailyn Fitzgerald picked up assists for Trinity Hall, which still has one game remaining against CVC opposition when they it faces West Windsor North. Hannah Setlight made 13 saves for Robbinsville (0-3), which is next in action on Tuesday against Princeton Day, Trombetta’s former team.
Notre Dame 4, Conwell-Egan 3
LAWRENCEVILLE — Cameron Haggerty scored twice, Anna Guido and Madeline Kinney were also on target and the Irish (3-1) edged the Eagles in a seven-goal thriller. Avery Whittle continued her strong start to her senior season with a pair of assists.
Somerville 6, Nottingham 0
SOMERVILLE — Kaylee Lauber netted four goals to lead the way for the Pioneers (3-1) in an easy victory over the Northstars (1-3).
