Xander Bogaerts exits Padres’ game with injury

NEW YORK — Padres shortstop Xander Bogaerts exited Wednesday’s series finale against the Mets in the seventh inning with an apparent injury.

After a swing in the top of the seventh, Bogaerts grimaced and appeared to grab his right hamstring in discomfort. Half an inning later, he was out of the game, with Sung-Mun Song moving from third to shortstop as his replacement.
