The Red Sox and Nationals agreed to a trade on Saturday night, just over a week before the Aug. 3 Trade Deadline. Boston will send left-handed starter Connelly Early to the Nationals for infielder Curtis Mead, sources told MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand. The clubs have not confirmed the deal.
