Red Sox extend win streak to 13 games to match 1948 team

BOSTON – Oh, what it must have been like for Red Sox fans to watch the famed “teammates” Ted Williams, Bobby Doerr, Johnny Pesky and Dominic DiMaggio fuel a 13-game winning streak in 1948, and another epic 15-game run with the same cast of characters two years before that.

Here we are, 78 years later, and Fenway Park – not to mention all of Red Sox Nation – is positively revved up…
