White Manna Moving to New Location in Hackensack
One of New Jersey’s most iconic burger joints is looking to move.
Plans have been submitted to The City of Hackensack for White Manna to relocate from its longtime home at 350 River Street to a new site at 112-120 Hackensack Avenue, marking one of the biggest changes in the restaurant’s nearly 80-year history.
According to the proposed plans, the project will relocate the historic diner while adding a kitchen expansion, takeout service area, ADA-accessible dining room and restrooms, office space, and a new 17-space parking lot.
The plans also include new sidewalks, landscaping, signage, and other site improvements.
White Manna has been serving its famous sliders in Hackensack since 1946, becoming one of New Jersey’s most recognizable burger destinations.
The diner is known for its classic smashed beef sliders, cooked on a flat-top with thinly sliced onions and served on Martin’s potato rolls.
The restaurant’s reputation extends well beyond Bergen County, being named in many nationwide roundups highlighting the best burgers in the country
No timeline has been announced for when construction will begin or when White Manna is expected to move into its new home.
