El Doners is Expanding to Downtown Englewood
A North Bergen-based halal doner concept is preparing to expand into Bergen County.
El Doners is headed to 53 E Palisade Avenue in downtown Englewood, with signage now up at the storefront and menu displays already visible inside the space.
The restaurant serves a mix of halal doner wraps, rice bowls, burgers, sandwiches, salads, desserts, and Turkish-inspired drinks. Menu items include beef and chicken doner tacos, doner wraps, falafel wraps, doner burgers, baklava, tres leches cake, and more.
According to signage posted at the upcoming Englewood location, plates will be served with rice or fries and pita bread, while sandwiches and wraps will feature Turkish bread and house sauces.
The original El Doners location is based at 5406 Bergenline Avenue in West New York.
The Englewood storefront has seen several concepts attempt to open in recent years. Patis Bakery had previously planned a location for the space that never materialized, followed by a string of short-lived café and coffee shop concepts rotating through the address.
No official opening date has been announced yet for El Doners Englewood.
