Red Bank is getting ready to transform into a bustling hub of creativity this summer. Applications are officially open for the Red Bank Arts Festival, a highly anticipated juried art show and street market set to take over the heart of the town on Saturday, June 27th, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM (with a rain date scheduled for Sunday, June 28th).
Hosted in partnership with Asbury Fresh, the festival promises to be a vibrant, high-quality street experience celebrating the very best of local artists, makers, and businesses.
Whether you are a fine artist looking for gallery exposure, a craft maker with unique goods, or a food vendor ready to feed the crowds, organizers are looking for you. However, before you submit, note that organizers have streamlined the process into three distinct application categories.
Here is everything you need to know to secure your spot:
1. Makers and Food Vendors (Non-Artist)
This category is designed for local artisans, crafters, and culinary creators who want to showcase their handmade goods and delicious treats to a lively crowd.
Eligible Items: Apparel and accessories, baked goods, prepared food booths, candles, handmade home goods, jewelry, and skincare (soaps, body products, etc.).
How to Apply: Interested makers and food vendors can submit their applications directly here.
2. Fine Artists (Two Participation Options)
The festival’s central feature is its Juried Art Show, open to fine artists working in disciplines such as painting, photography, sculpture, and mixed media. All submitted works will be accepted into the festival and eligible for major awards judged by a panel of experts. The stakes are high, with cash prizes for the top three creators.
Bonus Exposure: In addition to cash prizes, all three winners will have their work featured in an exclusive art show at Galerie Lucinda, located on Wallace Street right in Red Bank.
Artists can choose between two ways to participate:
Option 1: Full Booth Space + Juried Art Show
Best for artists who want a retail presence at the festival while competing in the show. This option allows you to sell your portfolio directly to attendees while submitting one premier piece to the jurors. The festival takes 0% commission on your sales.
How to Apply: Click here, scroll to the bottom, and click “Apply Now.” Under Vendor Type, ensure you select “Juried Artists – 10×10 booth”.
Option 2: Juried Art Show Exhibition Only
Perfect for artists who want to participate in the competition and gallery track without managing a full retail booth. You can submit one piece of artwork for consideration; if selected, it will be prominently exhibited during the event. No commission is taken on sold work.
How to Apply: Head to the Artist Application Portal by clicking here, click “Apply Now” at the bottom of the page, and select “Juried Artist – 1 Artwork Submission” under Vendor Type.
Spaces for this premier summer event are expected to fill quickly. For real-time updates, artist highlights, and festival announcements, be sure to follow the organizers on Instagram at @asburyfresh.
