If you’re looking for a high-octane family night in New Jersey, Circus Vazquez has arrived with a fresh, animal-free show that is heavy on the talent. I recently took my daughter to see if the hype was real, and between the nail-biting acrobatics and the hilarious clown comedy, we were both blown away. I’ll admit I was a little concerned about how she’d handle the darkness and volume of the big tent, but it turns out this show was a hit for us. At the end of the night, she left happily saying, “I’ll remember this forever,” and I know that’s true.
If you’re wondering whether your littles can handle this big top spectacle, or if you’re just looking for insider tips, here is everything you need to know about taking your family to see Circus Vazquez.

Circus Vazquez packs tons of thrills into its big top show.
All About the Circus Vazquez
One thing that truly surprised me was the sheer scale of the production. Circus Vazquez travels with 3 million pounds of equipment, transforming a regular mall parking lot into a high-tech experience. We visited on a chilly night, and I was worried about being cold—but I didn’t need to be! It was temperature-controlled, so we felt warm and cozy the whole time.
Pro tip for seating: I loved that the arena is fairly small, so you’ll have a great view from any seat. If you can get center seats, however, you’ll have the best view of the show. Also, fair warning: People in the front seats may have a little engagement with the circus clown, who appears several times throughout the show. If that’s not your thing, opt for seats in the back half of the tent.
The show features performers from around the world and runs a fast-paced 2 hours, which includes an intermission. Expect to see all kinds of acts like world-class acrobats, talented dancers, gravity-defying aerial acts, and impressive tightrope walking. The clown and his silly antics got tons of laughs. Some acts were truly heart-thumpers. My daughter squealed with fear and glee at the edge of her seat, watching a unicycler balance a tall pole on his head with an acrobat perched on the tip. We also loved the live band, which added incredible energy to the performance. The volume was a little loud, so if you have a child with volume sensitivities, you may want to bring sound-blocking headphones.
Amenities in the Circus Vazquez Big Top
The tent has a large snack bar, featuring carnival food and snacks. Think funnel cake, cotton candy, hot dogs, popcorn, and slushies. Try to arrive 15-20 minutes early if you want to buy snacks. There are also souvenirs for sale, as well as photo-ops with printouts you can purchase.
Pro-tip: Consider hitting the bathrooms in the mall before you arrive, since there are only port-a-potties available at the tent!

Acrobats, tightrope walkers, and more impressive acts make up the traveling troupe of Circus Vazquez.
