Playing and learning collide at Cloudbound, Westchester’s whimsical new indoor playspace that’s expertly designed for kids ages 0-6 and their parents.
Indoor playgrounds are a real lifeline for parents, offering a warm and safe space outside of your own living room where kids can explore and families can connect. So I was particularly excited when my daughters and I were invited to be some of the first visitors at the stunning new 18,000 sq ft Cloudbound play center, conveniently located in Westchester and accessible throughout the greater New York Metro Area.
Created with guidance from a leading early childhood development expert from Cal Poly, Cloudbound features imaginative climbing structures, interactive toys, and curated small-group classes, all specifically designed to support physical, cognitive, and social growth in kids ages 0-6. With convenient amenities for parents, like comfortable seating and a full espresso bar, the space aims to meet the real needs of modern families–and, I have to say, it’s doing an awfully good job at it.
So, read on for answers to some of the most asked questions, my inside tips after bringing my kids, ticket and membership details, and an opportunity to save big on your very first visit.
What can I expect to find at Cloudbound?
Cloudbound is a totally reimagined new indoor playspace complete with rainbow-colored climbing structures, spiral slides, ball pits, block-building zones, interactive light installations, puzzles, tummy-time mats, and other attractions designed to inspire self-directed play-based learning. Bright, whimsical, and surprisingly spacious for an indoor playground, the place is a real “wow” the moment you walk in the door.
For parents, the welcoming atmosphere and comfy seating areas–with clear sightlines for safety–make it easy to strike up conversations with fellow caregivers or catch up with a friend. And amenities like an extensive coffee and snack bar, family restrooms, and private nursing areas, all make life a little easier for moms and dads.

What is the best age to visit Cloudbound?
Cloudbound is designed specifically for ages 0 to 6–and I can tell you my 2- and 5-year-old daughters had an absolute blast! Children who are walking will get the most out of the space because they can explore all of the larger play structures, but there are soft play areas and interactive toys that cater to babies and crawlers as well.
If you’ve got multiple kids, keep in mind that siblings ages 7 to 8 are welcome to play at Cloudbound, but those 9 and up are asked to only observe.
Where is Cloudbound located? And when is it open?
The brand new Cloudbound is located in New Rochelle at 80 Nardozzi Place–making it an easy trip for Westchester families and less than an hour drive from many parts of New York City, Long Island, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Cloudbound is open daily from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, so it’s a convenient destination for early risers, after schoolers, and weekend warriors alike.

Does Cloudbound offer classes or other activities?
Yes! From Monday to Friday, Cloudbound offers 45-minute small-group classes designed for kids and their grownups to enjoy together. Thoughtfully curated with the help of child development researchers, the themed classes focus on skills like spatial reasoning and executive functioning through fun activities like magent-tile towers and sculpting with kinetic sand.
Does Cloudbound host birthday parties?
It sure does–and, if I had to guess, I bet it’s about to become a very popular party destination!
In addition to playspace access, Cloudbound’s 2-hour birthday package includes a very large private party room, where guests can enjoy a special class, pizza or waffles, and unlimited drinks. For non-birthday celebrations, a 1-hour package is also available (think first steps or new sibling…).
Oh, and an insider tip: Two of the party rooms feature clear glass walls overlooking the playscape. Definitely ask for one of those if it’s available!
Is Cloudscape clean? And safe?
Cleanliness and safety are clearly top priorities at Cloudbound. The kind and attentive staff was visible throughout the playspace at all times–tidying up areas like the ball pits, as well as physically cleaning toys and surfaces. Additionally, staff members were stationed at key spots throughout the play structures, like at the top and bottom of the slides, helping to manage lines and offering a hand to any kid who might need it.

Is it really noisy inside Cloudbound?
Even with a large crowd on a colder day, the noise level was actually pretty moderate. For kids with sensory challenges or those who need a break from the excitement, there’s actually a designated quiet room located away from the playscape. The fully-enclosed room features STEM-related toys and cozy seating for families, making it a perfect spot to wind down or reset.
Is there stroller parking?
Yes, there is a designated indoor stroller parking area, along with cubbies for personal items like shoes and diaper bags. Strollers aren’t permitted within the actual play area, so you’ll want to bring a baby carrier if you plan to tote around a little one.
Are there nursing rooms?
Yes, there are two private nursing rooms near the bathrooms and quiet room.
Do we need a membership to visit Cloudbound?
Cloudbound offers a Drop-In Play Pass, which can be purchased online or at the door–as long as space allows. The Pass gets you 90 minutes of playtime at $35/kid and $20/each additional sibling.
Are there any special offers to save on admission?
Yes! Right now, families that are new to Cloudbound can purchase a First-Time Visitor Pass for only $10/child. You’ll get 60 minutes to explore the exciting new space.
Is it worth becoming a Cloudbound member?
For nearby families that often find themselves in search of indoor fun, one of Cloudbound’s three membership tiers could absolutely be a good fit! Starting at $99/month for one child, the three tiers all include unlimited 90-minute play sessions, as well as discounts on classes, birthday parties, and the on-site cafe.
What else should I know before I go?
Waiver: You’ll need to sign a waiver for each kid. Complete it online to save time at check in.
Socks: All guests, including parents, will need to purchase a pair of Cloudbound grip socks. Once you have a pair, make sure to bring them for any future visits.
Storage: Bring in only what you truly need. Storage space fills up quickly–especially with all the cold weather gear.
Food & Drinks: The on-site cafe conveniently offers a full espresso bar, sandwiches, fresh waffles, packaged snacks, and more.
Dress: Comfort is key for everyone. I’d recommend layers in colder weather, since you’ll likely warm up inside. With so much climbing, it’s best to skip dresses and longer shirts.
Parking: Parking is free–and Cloudbound is located in a huge parking lot with ample spots.
If you’re searching for some imaginative and educational indoor fun in the Westchester area, I’d put Cloudbound right at the top of your list. Visit their website to learn more and to reserve your next play session!
