Fire District Elections: A Lot at Stake

Election officials seem to be making it harder and harder to find out what’s going on for elections and budgets. None more so than local fire district elections. On major elections, at least sample ballots are sent through the mail. Not so for fire district budgets. If you miss the public notices in the newspaper, we have no idea what’s being voted on.
