The New Jersey Department of Corrections annual report for 2025 shows that Cape May County, with roughly 1% of the state’s population, had 2% of those incarcerated, and 3% of the women incarcerated.
The county as of the start of 2025 had 251 individuals in the prison system, 210 males, 10 females and 31 in either county jail or a reintegration program.
