Fred and Karen (Strothers) were married in 1969, and he was the proud father of two children: his son Richard who passed away last year and was married to Jacquelynn Kane, and his daughter Brenda, who is married to Greg Freeman. He was the loving grandfather of Alex, Richard, Zachary, Shayne, Jaxon, Jessica, and Jillian and great grandfather to Richie, Reed, and Mason.
