A man was killed and a woman was seriously injured after a semitrailer crossed into oncoming traffic on U.S. 287 north of Fort Collins early Saturday morning, according to state investigators.

The crash happened at about 4:47 a.m. near mile 355 of U.S. 287, roughly a mile south of Ted’s Place in Larimer County, Sgt. Ivan Alvarado said.
