When it comes to the best places to pick up better-for-you bowls, salads, wraps and juices, New Jersey is home to four spots that make eating well delicious and convenient, according to a new ranking from DoorDash.
To help make it easier for consumers to kick off the new year feeling their best, the on-demand delivery platform generated a list of “26 Healthy Eats for 2026.”
The DoorDash data-influenced compilation includes small and medium-sized restaurants across the U.S. with the highest average customer ratings, fewer than 10 locations and at least 500 customer reviews, according to the company.
Released Jan. 6, the list includes the following New Jersey businesses:
Commenting on the roundup, DoorDash Head of U.S. Restaurants Ruth Isenstadt said, “Eating well shouldn’t mean giving up the flavors you love. These restaurants show how local entrepreneurs are meeting customers where they are with meals that are fresh, satisfying, and designed for real life — whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch between meetings or easing into healthier habits in the new year.”
She added, “We’re proud to help shine a spotlight on the small businesses behind these big trends.”
While the definition of what’s healthy varies for everyone, many customers are gravitating toward meals built around whole ingredients, like grain bowls, hearty salads and nutrient-packed smoothies, DoorDash reported.
And, with more diners prioritizing meals that keep them full and fueled, protein-forward dishes are having a major moment, the platform said. Between January and December 2025, orders of protein shakes grew 93%, Door-Dash said.
Although DoorDash data does not confirm a direct connection, the company believes the rise of weight-loss medications may be one factor behind the increased focus on protein.
