Two people were killed and two others were injured in a shooting Wednesday night in Newark, a spokeswoman for the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office told NJ Advance Media.

The two people who were injured did not suffer life-threatening injuries, the spokeswoman said.
No other details about the shooting were immediately available as the incident was still under investigation by the office.
