In addition to serving as the fire official, Stanford also served as deputy emergency management coordinator for the borough, expanding his impact to all emergency management efforts.
He began his service to the borough as a member of the police department, where he served for 26 years, 25 of them as a sergeant. His college education was in criminal justice at Thomas Edison State University.
