Eastbound I-70 reopens Aurora after Denver police chase

Traffic on eastbound Interstate 70 in Aurora was brought to a standstill Thursday night after Denver police chased down a suspect in a stolen vehicle who ran over an officer’s foot, officials said.

The highway was closed at Interstate 225 at 4:51 p.m., according to the Colorado Department of Transportation. One lane reopened as of 6:15 p.m. and the highway was fully reopen by 7:30 p.m.
