Bergen County Has New Jersey’s Best Bagel Shop

NJ.com is back with their list for New Jersey’s 55 best bagel shops, ranked for 2026 (Read Full List).

As they mention, there “might not be a single food item more beloved” than the bagel to New Jersey residents.

This list includes five bagel shops in Bergen County, including the #1 overall pick Teaneck Road Hot Bagels in Teaneck—they were highlighted for “perfectly sized bagels” with “exquisite crusty exterior” and “soft, chewy interior”.

River Road Hot Bagels in Fair Lawn (Website) came in at #11, and was highlighted for amongst other things for a garlic bagel that “strikes a nice balance between soft and chewy”.

Three Star Bagel in Teaneck came in at #12—their bacon, egg and cheese bagel was highlighted for having “some of the crispiest bacon”.

At #53 was B&G Bagels in Ramsey with high marks for bagels but also omelets, quesadillas and avocado toast.

Rounding out the list was Bagel Nosh, Waldwick at #55, which got mention for “perfectly crusted bagels” and “excellent toppings”.
