A major new waterfront dining destination is preparing to debut along the Gold Coast.
West & Co., a waterfront brasserie, is slated to open this spring at 45 Riverwalk Place in West New York, taking over a long-vacant end-cap space with sweeping, panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline .
The project comes from restaurateur Jeremy Casilli, known for operating several high-profile waterfront restaurants across New York and New Jersey, alongside NYC real estate principal Michael Besen. The address itself has been something of a legend in hospitality circles, sitting vacant for more than two decades due to extended litigation before finally being activated for redevelopment.
West & Co. is described as a classic American brasserie reimagined through an Art Deco lens. The 250-seat restaurant will feature warm white oak millwork, sculptural design elements, curved banquettes, expansive waterfront-facing windows, a 1920s-inspired “liquor candy shop” bar, and a glass-enclosed private wine room. An open-air terrace will further maximize the riverfront setting.
Beyond the main dining room, the concept will also include The Wax Room, an invitation-only speakeasy-style space hidden behind the kitchen and accessible via a discreet staircase. The intimate room will house more than 1,000 vinyl records and a classic turntable system, designed to offer a more immersive, analog experience.
On the menu, guests can expect a brasserie-inspired lineup featuring dishes like Mussels & Frites, Branzino Amandine, French Onion Soup, Octopus Carpaccio, a proprietary French Dip with tableside horseradish shaving, and a rotating butcher’s cut. A raw bar with oysters, clams, and seafood towers will highlight coastal influences , while the cocktail program will revive classic drinks including the Brandy Alexander, Corpse Reviver No. 2, Vieux Carré, Grasshopper, and Sidecar .
Operations will be led by Wander DeBrito, a French Culinary Institute graduate with experience at Michelin-recognized restaurants including Del Posto and Gramercy Tavern.
The restaurant is projected to open in late April 2026.
