Young dog Scooby running out of time as shelter move looms in Forked River

FORKED RIVER, NJ – Shelter staff at the Associated Humane Societies Forked River branch are pleading for help as a 1½-year-old dog named Scooby faces relocation to another kennel within two weeks, a move they fear will add more stress to a pup already struggling in the shelter environment.
Scooby, still barely out of puppyhood, has spent much of his young life behind kennel doors instead of learning what it means to be part of a family. Staff say the energetic, intelligent dog is full of potential and simply needs a structured home and a patient adopter willing to give him the chance to thrive.
According to AHS, Scooby is highly trainable and eager to learn. He could live with other dogs but is not suited for homes with cats. Because of his energy and size, he would do best…
