Morris County Sheriff Jim Gannon released the following statement on the death of former Governor Richard J. Codey:

“Governor Dick Codey was an excellent public servant and truly a Governor for all the people of New Jersey. He personally endorsed me when I ran for Sheriff—across party lines—and that spoke volumes about the kind of man he was. He taught me alot about helping people He was a family man, and one I was proud to call a friend. My deepest condolences to the Codey family.”
