This week’s Foto Friday includes some holiday festivities from in and around Trenton and beyond.

Macy’s at 1300 Market St. in the historic Wanamaker Building permanently closed in March 2025, but the famous holiday light show continues. Now the Wanamaker Light Show presented by PECO, this free Christmas gift uses more than 100,000 LED lights to deliver a holiday tale on a four-story-high velvet curtain. Snowflakes, ballerinas, trains, reindeer, and nutcrackers are just some of the figures projected during a 10-minute performance accompanied by the Wanamaker Grand Organ.
Our first visit occurred nearly 40 years back. The near-50 year show wrapped on Wednesday, Christmas Eve and will skip 2026 and 2027 holiday seasons due to construction.
