Discount fashion chain Nordstrom Rack is adding another store in New Jersey.
After signing a lease for a 30,000-square-foot space at Willow Ridge Plaza in Marlton, the retailer expects to open by fall 2026, according to a Dec. 16 announcement.
A sister brand of luxury department store Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack offers discounts of up to 70% on apparel, accessories, beauty, shoes and home goods.
Of the Seattle-based brand’s roster of 390-plus stores nationwide, about three-fourths are under the Nordstrom Rack banner.
Within New Jersey, the company operates four Nordstroms and nine Nordstrom Racks, accounting for more than 1,700 jobs statewide, the chain said.
Amid rising demand for the off-price concept, the retailer continues to expand Nordstrom Rack with the addition of nearly two dozen locations this year. Locally, it recently opened at Manalapan Commons in Manalapan and announced plans to join Deptford Town Center in Deptford.
A perfect ‘fit’
At Penn Group of Cos.-owned Willow Ridge Plaza, Nordstrom Rack’s neighbors will include Ulta Beauty, Marshalls, Skechers, Old Navy, Five Below, Visionworks, Rastelli Market Fresh and Rally House.
Nordstrom Rack President Gemma Lionello said in a statement, “We look forward to being a part of the Marlton community and serving our customers with an amazing offering of great brands at great prices. We’re excited to grow our footprint in the Philadelphia market and introduce new customers to the Nordstrom experience.”
Sean McCloskey, CEO of Penn Group, said his firm is excited to welcome the chain.
“Nordstrom Rack will be a great addition to the established tenant line up at this premier shopping center in Marlton. Willow Ridge Plaza has been one of the top shopping centers in southern New Jersey for the past three decades with premier retailers and Nordstrom Rack will fit right in,” he said.
