A longtime music executive was reportedly caught with alcohol as he serves prison time in the Garden State.
Sean “Diddy” Combs was discovered drinking contraband alcohol at the Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institute, https://www.tmz.com/2025/11/07/diddy-caught-drinking-fort-dix-prison/.
The music producer is currently serving a 50-month sentence for prostitution-related charges. He was transferred to the Burlington County correctional facility on Oct. 30.
Combs, 56, was caught with a fermented drink of Fanta soda, sugar and apples — a concoction often referred to as pruno or hooch.
In a pre-sentencing letter addressed to his judge, the former label exec explained that he had been sober for the first time in over 20 years.
“The old me died in jail and a new version of me was reborn,” Combs wrote. “Prison will change you or kill you—I choose to live.”
Comb’s legal team requested he serve his sentence at Fort Dix to address drug abuse issues, maximize family visitation and rehabilitative efforts.
Jude Engelmayer, Combs’ family spokesperson, told TMZ Friday that is focusing on adjusting during his first week at Fort Dix, hinting that the drinking rumor may be false.
“As with any high-profile individual in a new environment, there will be many rumors and exaggerated stories throughout his time there—most of them untrue,” Engelmayer. “We ask that people give him the benefit of the doubt, the privacy to focus on his personal growth with grace and purpose.”
