Subaru of America Inc. promoted three staff members to its executive leadership team, the automaker announced Oct. 29.
The appointments were:
- Laura Matey vice president of information technology and chief information officer
- Brian Moscatelli vice president of service and quality
- Tim Tagye vice president of field and distributor operations
Matey began her new role in August, Camden-based Subaru of America said. Meanwhile, Moscatelli and Tagye stepped into their newest positions in September.
“Living up to our commitment of being ‘More Than a Car Company’ relies on having dedicated individuals ready to lead diverse teams,” said SOA President and Chief Operating Officer Jeff Walters. “Laura, Brian, and Tim exemplify that leadership and are helping guide Subaru through its next phase of growth, talent development, and continued success.”

Matey joined SOA in 2000. She most recently served as vice president of service and quality — Moscatelli’s new role. Matey also previously held management positions across a variety of departments, according to her employer.
As CIO and vice president of IT, Matey will oversee the strategy, development and cross-functional delivery of SOA’s information technology portfolio, and lead the company through ongoing and future digital transformations.

Previously serving as vice president of field and distributor operations, where Tagye has taken over, Moscatelli joined SOA in 1999. The new role makes him responsible for technical training, warranty and quality functions, such as field quality and advanced quality assurance. Service technical operations also falls under his purview, including overseeing district service quality managers.
Moscatelli will also oversee electric vehicle strategy integration throughout the Subaru retailer network, SOA said.

Tagye joined Subaru in 2008, since holding a range of roles across marketing and field operations. Most recently, he led the retail operations training team.
As vice president of field and distributor operations, Tagye will lead national field operations, added security, certified pre-owned, fleet sales teams and retail operations training for the automaker. He will also serve as an official SOA liaison with with distributor partners Subaru of New England and Subaru Distribution Corp.
SOA is an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Subaru Corp. of Japan. The company markets and distributes Subaru vehicles, parts, and accessories through a network of about 640 retailers across the United States.
