Total Wine & More is toasting the launch of its newest store in New Jersey.
The location held its grand opening Sept. 30 at 871 Route 1 in North Brunswick. The 32,000-square-foot outpost offers over 8,000 competitively priced wines, 4,500 spirits and 2,500 beers. The lineup spans bottles from every wine-producing region in the world, along with domestic, imported and craft beers — as well as New Jersey-made brands.
It also has a climate-controlled wine cellar for rare selections and a walk-in humidor for fine cigars.
Additionally, the location features a large, dedicated classroom. In-store experts will host classes for consumers on wines, spirits and beers in the space. Total Wine will utilize it for ongoing team member education on new and emerging products, too.
When not in use for classes or trainings, Total Wine & Spirits said the classroom can be booked free of charge for private events or meetings. Click here for more information.
Growing brand
Considered America’s largest independent retailer of fine wine, beer and spirits, Maryland-based Total Wine & More has 286 stores nationwide. It plans to reach 300 by year’s end.
As part of an ongoing effort to give back to the community, locations contributed over $13 million in monetary and in-kind donations last year to 18,000-plus organizations, according to the company.
Within New Jersey, the chain has additional locations in Cherry Hill, West Orange, River Edge, Union, Eatontown and Totowa.
At North Village Shopping Center in North Brunswick, Total Wine & More takes over space previously occupied by defunct home goods chain Bed Bath & Beyond, according to the property’s exclusive leasing and management agent, Levin Management Corp.
The 124,000-square-foot property is anchored by Trader Joe’s. Other tenants include Smashburger, Panera Bread, Staples, Ulta Beauty, Michaels, Mattress Warehouse and Chili’s.

To mark its arrival in North Brunswick, Total Wine & More will donate 10% of all wine sales from Sept. 30–Oct. 5 to anti-hunger organization Elijah’s Promise and North Brunswick First Aid & Rescue Squad.
Grand opening specials include 20% off 750 ml and 1.5 L Winery Direct wines. Click here to download a coupon.

‘A proud milestone’
Ed Vasconcellos, leasing representative for North Plainfield-based LMC, said, “We are excited to welcome Total Wine & More to our North Brunswick property. This addition reflects LMC’s strategy of securing best-in-class national retailers for the centers we manage.”
He went on to say, “Total Wine’s strong brand identity, broad consumer appeal, and focus on delivering an exceptional shopping experience make it a perfect fit for this location.”

LMC Chief Executive Officer Matthew Harding added, “North Village Shopping Center has always been part of the North Brunswick community, and reaching full occupancy with Total Wine & More is a proud milestone. Together, Trader Joe’s and Total Wine create a unique experience that will attract shoppers from well beyond the local area and strengthen the center as a regional destination.”
