Folklore fans, cryptid chasers, and lovers of all things eerie — mark your calendars! The Jersey Devil Fable Festival is set to descend upon Asbury Park, New Jersey, on October 10 & 11, 2025. Hosted by the iconic Paranormal Books & Curiosities, this two-day celebration promises a weekend packed with myths, monsters, and macabre magic on the 600 block of Mattison Avenue.
At its heart, the Jersey Devil Fable Festival is a celebration of folklore and the weird and wonderful creatures that haunt New Jersey’s forests, rivers, and shorelines. Guests can look forward to a weekend filled with costume contests, psychic readings, and the unforgettable March of the Cryptids — where creatures of local legend and lore will parade through the streets in a spectacle of spooky pageantry.
This year’s event expands its eerie offerings with the Jersey Devil Fable Film Festival on October 10, featuring a curated selection of films perfect for fans of folklore and the supernatural. Adding to the experience is The Pod Barrens, a space dedicated to live podcasts and discussions with paranormal investigators, storytellers, and creators of the strange.
On Saturday, October 11th, an exciting lineup of creators, artists, and vendors will come together to celebrate the state’s favorite cryptid. Guests can look forward to meeting horror and science fiction writer The Dark Mind of Steven Farkas, alongside Violet Imagery, Aries Moon Crystals, Nini Grace, and the Curious Explorers Podcast. The event will also feature Amanda Ligas, Easton Hawk Illustration, Maker’s Path, The Twisted Dreams Collection, Raven’s Wing Crafts & Things, That Dark Chick, ALLThingsWEIRD, JackSquatJB, New Jersey Isn’t Boring, CC’s Cookies and Cupcakes, THOMS Laser Engraving, Whimsical Witch, and Groovy Graveyard, all adding their unique flair to this cryptid celebration.

Whether you’re a believer in the Jersey Devil, a cryptid connoisseur, or simply curious about the unexplained, this weekend promises thrills, chills, and a celebration of New Jersey’s most legendary lore.
