An event later this month aims to support and provide resources for New Jersey small businesses.
On Sept. 26, the New Jersey Business Action Center, in partnership with the New Jersey Small Business Development Center, is hosting an in-person “Resources for Growth” event.
The signature initiative by NJBAC takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Brookdale Community College‘s main campus in Lincroft.
Organizers say the goal is to bring state agencies and other business organizations directly to the small business community. The primary objective aims to help business owners and entrepreneurs discover the various financing and incentive programs, technical assistance, and services to facilitate business growth and success.
“This event underscores our commitment to supporting the backbone of New Jersey’s economy – the small business community,” said Lt. Gov. Tahesha Way, who oversees the NJBAC in her role as secretary of state. “By investing in events like ‘Resources for Growth,’ we’re ensuring the economic vitality of our state and paving the way for a prosperous future statewide.”

Simplifying the process

NJBAC Executive Director Melanie Willoughby stressed the event’s focus on simplifying the process for businesses to access support.
“Small business owners often contend with lengthy and ever-expanding to-do lists,” said Willoughby. “Our ‘Resources for Growth’ event is crafted to remove obstacles and facilitate businesses in identifying available support, bringing together representatives from the relevant resource providers conveniently in one location.”
Monmouth County Commissioner Thomas Arnone said growth does not happen by chance.
“It happens when people have access to the right resources,” said Arnone. “The ‘Resources for Growth’ event is about more than just programs and resources, it’s about empowerment. It’s about demonstrating our commitment to providing our entrepreneurs and businesses with support, knowledge, and opportunities to grow right here in Monmouth County.”
