The plan: The office of special education within Nebraska’s department of education is looking for a vendor that can implement a pilot project for the development and implementation of high-quality individualized education programs. The department said in its request for proposals that the pilot project is designed to help selected school districts build “holistic solutions” that blend technology, professional development, services, and supports. The plan: Washington Township School District in New Jersey is in the market for professional development services that are focused on student-centered classrooms. The district said in its request for proposals that the PD should be consistent with the educational principles in Nancy Sulla’s published work, and help educators form virtual learning communities across schools and disciplines. The vendor should be prepared to provide seven to eight in-person visits throughout the 2025-26 school year, as well as self-paced online professional learning and live, interactive supports. Natomas Unified School District, Calif.

The plan: Natomas Unified School District in California is building a list of qualified providers that can offer supplemental enrichment programming during the 2026-27 and 2027-28 school years. The district said in its request for qualifications that the services will be paid for by the state’s Extended Learning Opportunity Program and are directed toward students in transitional kindergarten through 8th grade. The programming will be offered during after-school and summer intersessions. It should offer student-centered content that “enhances academic, social, and emotional growth through structured, engaging, developmentally appropriate activities,” according to the RFQ.
