The Windlass on Lake Hopatcong prettiest NJ summer restaurant
At The Windlass on Lake Hopatcong, diners can enjoy food, drinks, sunsets and — if they’re lucky — a front row seat to a proposal.
- As the summer heat fades, food truck season continues in New Jersey.
- Here are 24 food truck festivals to check out locally this September.
New Jersey is home to a garlic knot slider food truck, rainbow bao buns on wheels, a mobile mozzarella maker and ice cream that’ll pull up to your door on demand.
On a street corner in Teaneck, you’ll find authentic Caribbean cuisine (in dishes like jerk chicken sandwiches and oxtail over rice); while, in downtown Montclair, you just might run into personal pizzas being sold through a window.
It’s rare, though, that you’ll discover many of those concepts in the same place at the same time — unless, of course, some local high schools, PBAs and recreation departments arrange for them all to meet in a massive, empty parking lot.
This month, that’s precisely what’s going down.
